Camping isn’t all about spending your whole day at the Campsite (unless you want to sit back and relax). It’s all about exploring the area you are staying in whether it means on foot or by car. Take a look at some of the ideas we have put together for your stay from the start of your stay to the finish, including some excellent meals!
Day of Arrival
-Let the kids choose where to put the tent! Try and get them to do as much work as possible (with supervision!) Depending on the time of your arrival at the campsite, bring lots of things to do.
See a list below of some fun ideas we have put together.
-Prepare a ‘Just Pitched Dinner’ for your arrival at camp. Make sure your first meal is easy but will involve the whole family to make it. Try out a Beef Shish Kebab! Sit back and relax around the Campfire or take a walk to a local pub, 10-20 minutes walk from each campsite, but make sure you remember the way back in the dark!
Waking up at Camp!
Start the day with ‘Eggs on the Grill’
There are many places to choose to go around the area. We recommend Boating at Barcombe. A completely different experience for the whole family. You can also go swimming whilst boating! Next to the boats is a beautiful pub called the Anchor to have a bite to eat. After lunch, Spring Barn Farm is only a 15 minute drive with the cutest furry animals, indoor & outdoor play areas.
Once back at the Campsite, get the fire ready for some real good Grub
(change the oven for a fire!)
& for dessert
-Sit around the fire, look up and watch the stars!
Leaving Camp
–Yummy Lemon-Buttermilk Pancakes with Strawberries – a quick and easy recipe.
-Get on your walking boots and visit your surroundings. There are some excellent walks around our campsites which have beautiful views. Plan a scavenger hunt and see how many items the kids can find on their travels.
-Time to pack up and get ready to go home (unless you’re staying another night!) See who can pack the boot the best!
